A Way

“A Way” in My Life

It is funny how sometimes we need other people to remind us of our beliefs. Oneonta Taekwon-Do recently put on an excellent seminar. My Taekwon-Do instructor Mr. Raymond Mannion, 2nd Dan brought up an excellent point in which he learned from his instructor Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim, 9th Dan. That Taekwon-Do is “a way” of thinking and living – it is not “the way”. Meaning there is more than “one way” in given areas of life. I believed in this principle before this seminar, but sometimes we need reminders to apply this principle to all areas of our lives, and for this, I am grateful.

The Trip to Loudon/Part V

The Trip to Loudon/Part V

This is the last part of the “The Trip to Loudon” story. It has been fun writing about the Laconia, Loudon, Loudon Road Race Series racers, and the New Hampshire Speedway. I enjoyed watching the races. Like all specialized regional racing events at big circuit race tracks there is plenty of elbow room. Every seat is the best seat. Every view is the best view. You can easily walk up to and talk to all the racers. It is all quite enjoyable. Below are the last photos that I took at the New Hampshire Speedway on Saturday, June 14th, 2008. I only took a couple of photos on the trip home at the Bennington battle monument in Bennington, Vermont before we got soaked riding across New York State.

Timing and Change

Timing and Change

Unfortunately sometimes a change that we are working on will not produce the desired result that we want simply because of the timing. It does not mean that we should not work on the desired change because the timing might be wrong. In fact we might need to fail at the wrong time, so we can learn how to succeed at the right time.

Kool-Software/PicLens

Kool-Software/PicLens

There is a lot of great free software out there. These software programs enrich our computer work and play from the barely noticeable widget, to the ahhhhh-amazing gizmo, to the workhorse software program,

I learned about PicLens from watching a video on the Thirty Day Challenge. PicLens is a full screen 3D viewing experience for photos and videos. You really have to see it to believe it. It works with Google images, Yahoo images, Photobucket, Flickr, Facebook, MySpace, and more. PicLens is not a must have software tool. It is an ahhhhh-amazing gizmo. Give PicLens a try – it’s free, and we all need to experience the”ahhhhh-amazing” from time to time.

The Trip to Loudon/Part IV

The Trip to Loudon/Part IV

The second day of “The Trip to Loudon” was excellent too. After Laconia and a good night’s sleep at the race track infield, I was ready for a day of racing. That day we saw more of the Loudon Road Race Series racers turn practice laps, and then we saw them rev up and race. Below are the photos that I took that day at the New Hampshire Speedway on Saturday, June 14th, 2008.

Beginner Blogger Tip

Beginner Blogger Tip

I am new to blogging, so I learn as I go, learn and do, learn and do. Listed below is a process that I started doing lately. It was a natural evolution with finding an easier, less time-consuming way of doing something. To save time in putting tags in my blog posts, I have started to save tags for different topics. I write, organize, and save my tags in a text editor(you can also use a word processor). Then I copy a line of tags, paste them in the tag box, hit the add button, and repeat the process. It is simple, it works, and it saves time. Below is a snapshot of my tagging for this article – keep on blogging.

The Trip to Loudon/Part III – Laconia

The Trip to Loudon/Part III – Laconia

After watching the “Loudon Road Race Series” racers fly around the New Hampshire Speedway track during practice time, we left the speedway to go grab something to eat and cruise up to Laconia. There were lots of motorcycles cruising around Laconia – all kinds of makes, models, and riders. It gets a little crazy/fun – you never know what’s going to happen. These photos were taken on Friday June 13th, the eve of the June 14-22, 2008 Laconia Motorcycle Week.
