Pass on the “Seeds of Greatness”

Pass on the “Seeds of Greatness”

I wanted to pass on this absolute gem of what I call universal wisdom. It was written by Mr. Denis Waitley the best-selling author, speaker, poet and lyricist. I read it on his ezine, and it is a keeper!

The Trip to Loudon/Part V

The Trip to Loudon/Part V

This is the last part of the “The Trip to Loudon” story. It has been fun writing about the Laconia, Loudon, Loudon Road Race Series racers, and the New Hampshire Speedway. I enjoyed watching the races. Like all specialized regional racing events at big circuit race tracks there is plenty of elbow room. Every seat is the best seat. Every view is the best view. You can easily walk up to and talk to all the racers. It is all quite enjoyable. Below are the last photos that I took at the New Hampshire Speedway on Saturday, June 14th, 2008. I only took a couple of photos on the trip home at the Bennington battle monument in Bennington, Vermont before we got soaked riding across New York State.

Timing and Change

Timing and Change

Unfortunately sometimes a change that we are working on will not produce the desired result that we want simply because of the timing. It does not mean that we should not work on the desired change because the timing might be wrong. In fact we might need to fail at the wrong time, so we can learn how to succeed at the right time.

The Trip to Loudon/Part IV

The Trip to Loudon/Part IV

The second day of “The Trip to Loudon” was excellent too. After Laconia and a good night’s sleep at the race track infield, I was ready for a day of racing. That day we saw more of the Loudon Road Race Series racers turn practice laps, and then we saw them rev up and race. Below are the photos that I took that day at the New Hampshire Speedway on Saturday, June 14th, 2008.

The Trip to Loudon/Part III – Laconia

The Trip to Loudon/Part III – Laconia

After watching the “Loudon Road Race Series” racers fly around the New Hampshire Speedway track during practice time, we left the speedway to go grab something to eat and cruise up to Laconia. There were lots of motorcycles cruising around Laconia – all kinds of makes, models, and riders. It gets a little crazy/fun – you never know what’s going to happen. These photos were taken on Friday June 13th, the eve of the June 14-22, 2008 Laconia Motorcycle Week.

The Trip to Loudon/Part II

After we pulled into the infield at the New Hampshire Speedway everybody started getting unpacked and setting up camp – I had to check out the racing motorcycles. Below are some of the pictures I took as I walked around the track on that Friday afternoon June 13th, 2008.

The Trip to Loudon

The Trip to Loudon

I was invited by the owner of Rattzilla (Mark) to see Jimi ‘O’ race his duck (Ducati) in the June 14-15 Classic/2008 Loudon Road Race Series at the New Hampshire Speedway. Well it turned out that the duck wasn’t going swimming. Unfortunately his Ducati race bike was out of commission. On a side note, Jimi has a cool collection of bikes. Besides his racing Ducati and BMW, he has a 57 BMW (a German bobber) and a Harley. Anyway, Mark and I rode our XLs. He had his girlfriend Beth on the back, a nice lady, and I rode solo. We hooked up with Jimi and his friend, another nice lady named Beth, and we headed out towards the state of New Hampshire. Jimi ‘O’ trailered his BMW because he camps out in his truck while he races and or works the track.

We had a good ride to Loudon. We left Friday morning and arrived their in the afternoon. The weather was great and it was fun cruising through Vermont and New Hampshire. After our arrival at the New Hampshire Speedway we headed for the infield and set up camp. Then we watched the road racers practice. It was a blast to watch them fly by. Later that night we took a ride to Laconia. That was a pretty wild time. Saturday, Jimi and his friend Beth worked the race track and the rest of us watched the racing. Mark, Beth and I had to leave later that day. The ride back was good until we hit New York state. The rain was really bad, but we finally made it back. I took over 200 pictures during those two days – a great ride – a great time. Below are some of those photos of the ride to Loudon I took on Friday, June13th, 2008. I will put up photos of the race track and Laconia in future posts.

Ready to Roll.
