Pass on the “Seeds of Greatness”

Pass on the “Seeds of Greatness”

I wanted to pass on this absolute gem of what I call universal wisdom. It was written by Mr. Denis Waitley the best-selling author, speaker, poet and lyricist. I read it on his ezine, and it is a keeper!

Timing and Change

Timing and Change

Unfortunately sometimes a change that we are working on will not produce the desired result that we want simply because of the timing. It does not mean that we should not work on the desired change because the timing might be wrong. In fact we might need to fail at the wrong time, so we can learn how to succeed at the right time.

Reappearance of the Do

Reappearance of the Do

Taekwon that is. Do is the-way. Tae is the foot, and kwon is the fist. These Korean words loosely translate to – the way of the foot and fist. The meaning of Taikwon-Do would be better explained by the great Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim, 9th Dan

“Taekwon-Do is a Korean unarmed martial art. It is not only kicking and punching but also a way of thinking and living. The main goal of Taekwon-Do is to achieve total mind and body control through training.”

But this article is about the reappearance of “the way” Why? When I was typing Grandmaster Kim’s words above an idea struck me very deeply. Specifically his words “a way of thinking and living.” For quite a number of years recently I have been working very hard to improve myself. And I have been slowly improving myself with improving my “way of thinking and living.” I believe the reappearance of Taekwon-Do in my life is to help me on my path to a better way of thinking and living.

Below are some of my personal Taekwon-Do web sites that I visit. These are the better ones.

TaekwonDo-Legacy

The origin, history, and legacy of the Taekwon-Do and it’s founder General Choi Hong Hi – a must go to site for Taekwon-Do practitioners.

S.J. Kim’s Taekwon-Do

Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim, 9th Dan

This is Grandmaster Kim’s school, the home of traditional Taekwondo and martial arts training in N.Y.C. Grandmaster Kim is also president of Taekwon-Do International.

TKD Tutor

TKD Tutor has lots and lots of good information for Taekwon-Do and martial arts practitioners.

Blue Cottage Taekwon-Do

This web site is a good source of ITF style Taekwon-Do information.

Rayners lane Taekwon-do Academy

Interesting Taekwon-Do website from the U.K., flashy web site but it has a lot of good articles and information.

The (Shamelessly) Unofficial Taekwondo Resource

This site is another good source of Taekwon-Do information.
